Jim is a Florida boy, born and raised in Sanford. He received his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from FSU College of Law.

Following his education, Jim served four years in the Air Force as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate. He then moved to Clearwater and worked for five years as a prosecutor with the State Attorney’s Office before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Tampa, where he worked in the civil division defending medical malpractice cases as an Assistant U.S. Attorney.

Jim left the public sector and joined a Clearwater law firm, where he remained for approximately 17 years, becoming the firm’s managing partner. In 2001, Jim opened his own firm dedicated to personal injury.

Today, Jim is a personal injury lawyer with a special emphasis on representing bicycle accident victims.

Jim and his wife Pam have two adult children and six grandchildren. He stays active as a cyclist and enjoys a number of other outdoor interests. He is a strong advocate for bicycle safety and has dedicated himself to educating cyclists and the general public about bicycle and motor vehicle safety.
